They are not the same thing. This answer doesn't really address why expert systems are AI, but you give a general definition of what AI may be or may include as part of the field. I would like to see an answer from someone that actually has worked with (traditional) expert systems (although I didn't actually ask the question). In any case, I think this answer can be improved by explicitly saying why ESs are AI. | |
