Basickly, NN is approximator of any statistical relation, but we operate the common sence where entities may be rather strickt known, so maybe its possible to construct AI, representing it as a chain of algorithms? Means, by (very big and tricky) common (turing-complete) programm ??

  • $\begingroup$ What do you mean by "Strong AI" -- something that is "truly intelligent" in Searle's sense? If so, I don't think there is any restriction on methods use, and I see no reason to emphasize one of them, such as any flavor of neural networks. $\endgroup$ Jun 1 '19 at 12:18
