I wrote the code for my facial recognition using Python, open-CV and it works, but I wanted to go further. Therefore, I created a JSON file that contains details about the people in my image dataset. What I want to happen is, when a face is recognized it should display details about the person from the JSON file.

  • $\begingroup$ We need to sort the information. The task of combining facial recognition with information extraction from a json file is discussed in the existing literature. For example in “Srirama, Satish: Croudstag: social group formation with facial recognition and mobile cloud services”. The reason is, that json is specification of the world wide web and it make sense to utilize it in a smartphone application. $\endgroup$ – Manuel Rodriguez Sep 2 '19 at 15:42

$\begingroup$ Once the facial recognition is done, then loading the right JSON file and displaying data is not an AI issue, but a general coding one. I suggest that you ask on Stack Overflow - please include how you you are calling the face recognition part, and give an example of what it returns. Also make it clear how/where the display should happen (e.g. are you wanting to overlay the text on the video feed from open-CV?), and what you know already - have you looked at the text functions here: docs.opencv.org/3.1.0/dc/da5/tutorial_py_drawing_functions.html ? $\endgroup$ – Neil Slater Sep 2 '19 at 15:43
