What a Turing test is, is widespread known among computer experts. It's some kind of game, which can be attended by a human or a computer program. If a computer program is able to pass the game, the program is equal to a human level Artificial Intelligence. Instead of asking how to create such program the more interesting problem is how to create the Turing test itself.

It's surprising to know, that Google has many websites which are explaining what the Turing test is, but not a single example is available of how to program such a test in Python. Which kind of software is needed which can evaluate if the user is a human or a machine?

The general notion of Turing test requires human judges to (a) hold the actual conversation and (b) determine whether they think they've been conversing with another human or a machine. It also requires some human participants to present the "alternative" conversations to which the tested machines/systems would be compared.

It's not a test that can be automated, at least not before we have systems that can easily pass the ("manual") test.

You could certainly code in python a platform for implementing such a test, but it would still require humans to actually hold one; but you might as well use something like Slack (with an API integration for the "machine contestants") for this.

    $\begingroup$ @TechnoCat there's a standard API for integrating programs/bots that can (among other things) read messages sent by humans in chat and send responses. It's available for a bunch of languages, here's the repository github.com/slackapi/python-slackclient for Python, it has a tutorial. There are also multiple frameworks for building chatbots or goal-driven chat agents, they tend to provide integration into most popular chat platforms e.g. Facebook Messenger, Skype/Teams, etc. $\endgroup$ – Peteris Oct 7 at 15:43
