Is there a reliable website about artificial intelligence that is updated regularly?

Like there is now TensorFlow 2.0 and they write some information about it. Or a magazine which can be subscribed. So a site where all news of AI are collected to be always up to date.

  • $\begingroup$ A naive approach would be an RSS stream which combines all the headlines from the last month. Some of these resources are available online but they aren't recommended for daily reading. The better alternative is to take a look at the website of the computer history museum. They are providing news about the latest technology from the past. For sites, https://towardsdatascience.com/ maybe a good choice. The articles on there is about AI. You can read a lot of articles about state-of-the-art AI networks there. You can also subscribe to their newsletter for emails everyday on new AI discoveries. However, as stated by @DuttaA, take the articles with caution. The articles may or may not be entirely true as they are written by the community. Choose articles with large number of likes to read.

The YouTube channel two minutes paper is also a great resource. The channel posts videos about AI and also computer science periodically, and the content is easy to understand and enjoyable.

Reminder: for the towards data science site, you should disable cookies for it so that there will not be a limit on how many articles you read.

Note that the site is towards data science.com not medium.com, although it works on both sites as both sites is based on the same company/organisation. If you're willing to "drink from the fire hose", it's probably hard to beat just browsing recent arXiv submissions when it comes to seeing the most novel results in AI/ML.

For the unfamiliar, arXiv is a preprint repository where academic articles are published before/as they are submitted to an academic journal. It also contains work which is not intended for later publication, such as replicating someone else's results.

The two major caveats are 1) these articles are written with an expert audience in mind, so may not feel very inviting and 2) there is no barrier to entry to publishing to arXiv, so there is no guarantee of quality for any individual article.

ArXiv has an AI category, as well as a CS/ML and Stats/ML category.

Personally, for such stuff, I always felt twitter was the best. As long as you follow the right people/pages your feed can be quite informative and quite frequently links to articles or youtube videos which can be helpful are also found. To start off you could check out the DL loop list to start you off with a few popular people in DL on twitter

We believe this is best done together with the community and powered by automation.

We've already automated the linking of code to papers, and we are now working on automating the extraction of evaluation metrics from papers.

I think Deep Learning Weekly https://www.deeplearningweekly.com/ is very good.

Critiques of other sources mentioned elsewhere in these answers:

  • towardsdatascience and similar have a lot of articles which seem like undergrads trying to write out their best understanding of their lecture notes.
  • Twitter is pain.
  • The Batch is ok but a lot less interesting, maybe more manager-oriented, than Deep Learning Weekly.
  • A raw arXiv feed is too much detail for what I think the questioner wants.
