Is there a continuous version of clustering? i.e. detecting N peaks on a plane.

$\begingroup$ Can you clarify exactly what you mean by "continuous"? What is supposed to be continuous? $\endgroup$ – nbro Aug 12 at 22:47
  • $\begingroup$ @nbro I have a 3d plot (of a plane) and want to converge clusters at "peaks" $\endgroup$ – Tobi Akinyemi Aug 12 at 23:03

$\begingroup$ What do mean by "converge clusters at 'peaks'"? $\endgroup$ – nbro Aug 12 at 23:04
  • $\begingroup$ @nbro in clustering, you converge clusters at dense areas. I want to converge clusters at peaks on a plane $\endgroup$ – Tobi Akinyemi Aug 13 at 19:07
  • $\begingroup$ By "converge" you mean "merge"? $\endgroup$ – nbro Aug 13 at 19:40
