Are there any deep learning tools so that can be used to estimate long-tail distributions?

update: my context is there are is there is a long-tail distribution (probability distribution) in my data of some labels, and I want to estimate it given the data.

  • $\begingroup$ Maybe you should clarify what you mean by "estimate long-tail distribution". What distributions are you talking about? Please, provide some more context. What is your problem and why are you looking for deep learning tools to achieve what you want to achieve. $\endgroup$ – nbro Aug 20 at 10:02

  • $\begingroup$ I am not sure why you want to use deep learning to understand how your data is distributed. What's wrong with a simple histogram? $\endgroup$ – nbro Aug 20 at 10:10
  • $\begingroup$ @nbro because I want to estimate the density, for example: arxiv.org/abs/1605.08803. $\endgroup$ – GoingMyWay Aug 20 at 11:14
