This is a quiz on randomized hill climbing from Udacity's Machine Learning class.

The solution in green throws a value of 5.39 out of nowhere. How do we get 5.39 + v and 10 + v? The explanation is:

...at which point we have to start the whole process over again...

Not sure what they are trying to say there. Finally, we end up with a value v of 29.78 that is greater than 10, the greatest number of steps to find a local maximum.

The explanation suggests four basins of attraction, one of which is good. I can see 5 basins, and the two around the global maximum seems good. Am I right? If not, what are the four right basins, and the good one?

It feels like a lot has been skipped from the video. I am really confused. Could someone explain this to me in plain English? Really appreciate it!
