$\begingroup$ Hubert Dreyfus authored a book “What computers can't do (1972)” in which he questioned the promises of Artificial Intelligence from a non-technical perspective. The idea was to judge objectively about the limits of intelligent machines. Human's high-level cognitive abilities like feeling happy or the laughing about a joke are located in the discipline of “AI for storytelling”. The idea is to program software, which is able to understand a plot and can plan emotions. Such game AI systems are often combined with natural language processing. $\endgroup$ – Manuel Rodriguez Dec 1 '18 at 16:13
