About

Hardworking, self motivated and ambitious graduate of Computer Science (AI) from Greenwich University and full time wheelchair user with a natural curiosity, committed to achieving goals set in an efficient and timely manner; developing skills and learning new things. I enjoy working individually and as part of a team to overcome any challenges.

I have developed strong mathematical and programming skills, with the ability to solve complex problems, both mathematically and algorithmically, through both independent and academic studies. This allows me to convey complex information, in a way that can be easily understood by different audiences: technical and non-technical.

In my spare time, I follow tutorials and do online courses in programming, algorithms, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), cryptography and cyber security from websites such as Codecademy, Khan Academy, W3schools and cryptool to reinforce and further develop my understanding of mathematical concepts, programming languages and algorithms I have learned about at university. I then use this knowledge to work on projects such as: creating webpages and websites. As well as creating my own implementations of algorithms. These projects can be seen in repositories on my GitHub, GitLab and Dribbble profiles.

My understanding of basic and intermediate sorting and searching algorithms, hash functions and tables; along with reinforcement learning, neural networks and deep learning has made me intrigued to find out more about this area.

In addition to the above, I read academic journal articles and magazines, such as New Scientist, Computer Active and economist weekly, and watch webinars and podcasts from industry professionals, via Ted Talks to keep up to date with the latest technological advancements, news and changes in the stock market.

I have been using online tutorials and YouTube videos, such as w3schools, FreeCodeCamp, KhanAcademy, Udemy and Skills Cruxh, etc, to improve my coding ability in Python, Java and R. As well as learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript (JS) and Prolog, etc.

As well as the above, I participate in coding competitions offered by companies such as Google and practice interview questions using Hacker Rank. To consolidate my knowledge and apply my learning to a given context.

My career aspirations are data scientist, data analyst, artificial intelligence and machine learning (ML) engineer and full stack software engineer.

Regularly attending employability skills sessions and clubs with Whizz Kidz have allowed me to develop my communication and other soft skills.
